Down on the Virtual Farm

Hi everyone,

Or should I say "Howdy." I've got a confession to make. I'm addicted to Farmville on Facebook. I started playing it after watching my critique partner Angie harvest her squash from our hotel room at RT.

Now I'm afraid my entire wall is a string of wandering stallions that need a place to stay for the night, and free cans of fuel for people's tractors. I'm up until two in the morning waiting to harvest my ghost chilies so I don't let down one of my neighbors in their attempt to win a gold trophy on a co-op job to make the town's hottest chili.

And if you have no clue about what I'm talking about, maybe you're lucky. Farming is serious business. At least virtual farming seems to be.

I don't know what it is about games like this, but any game where I get to be a micro manager appeals to me. I really enjoyed the Sims, Civilization, etc. Apparently Farmville fits right in there.

There's something satisfying about growing crops, harvesting them, then buying silly little things for my farm. So if you're a fellow farmer out there, and you don't mind my wall that is completely filled with free bushels of pumpkins and rare bugs I've found, then please be my neighbor.

I'd like a bigger farm. *wink*

Anyone else addicted to silly internet games?

Happy Reading,

Jess

Well, right now my Farmville farm is mostly inactive, but it's there. At the moment FV doesn't agree with my computer. However, I'll get back to it sooner or later. I tend to bounce between different Facebook games. {Smile}

Addicted? Gross understatement. I need help. But let me harvest my crops first....

LOL, we can't let those pattypan squash wither. That would be a travesty.
